Marion Beyea has been Provincial Archivist and Director of the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick since 1978, managing an integrated program of recorded information management and archival services. Previously she was Archivist of the Anglican Church of Canada and she has also been employed at both the Archives of Ontario and the Archives of the New Brunswick Museum. Loyalist records and loyalist research have been a constant at all these institutions.She has served the archival community in a number of capacities on technical and professional committees, grant adjudication bodies and editorial boards including founding president of the Canadian Council of Archives, president of the Association of Canadian Archivists, and New Brunswick’s representative on the Historical Sites and Monuments Board of Canada. Currently she is Chair of the Committee on Best Practices and Standards of the International Council of Archives.
